Concrete and Brick Paver Project Design and Installation in Bonita Springs

To have a successful paver project, all it takes is to have the right building materials that
will provide the design and durability that you desire. Either on your backyard, swimming
pool area or patio, you too can beautify and expand your dream outdoor living space
project. For a total project experience from design to completion, call Fabri-Tech today!

Design Aesthetically
Concrete and brick materials are the most popular choice for paver projects. Both are
versatile and flexible that can offer design options or alternatives such as color, texture,
and suitability. A wide variety of pavers are available to explore and express your creativity
by blending or mixing up the colors, shapes, and sizes without costing a lot of fortune.

Installation of Pavers
1st  Step: Do Research.
Make a research on computers on how to do it from different sources like search
engines- Google.com and video tutorials-Youtube.com websites. You will widen your
concepts on different perspectives and approaches. Make a list of all the materials you
would need and organize them all together so it would be easy as you work through.
A safety reminder: before starting the project always wear safety gear or protective
mask, gloves or face masks.

2nd Step: Planning and determining the project area.
In determining the project area’s size and shape, use pen and pencil in making a graph
to begin a conceptualized design format, with a level and a garden hose. Widely spread
out the garden rose by using 2 x 4s to know the straight edges. Use the graphing paper
in making a mosaic pattern sketch, or make additions by drawing the pool or garden
sketch by changing colors and patterns.

In getting the correct slope to use the level and a 2 x 4. There should be drainage where
the pavers should slope at a rate of 1 inch for every 5 to 8 feet. Next, use the spray paint
to outline the pavement edges of 5 to 8 inches. After knowing the shape and size,
estimate how many pavers you would need. Just add an extra 5 to 10 percent of the
total pavers for unaccounted or missed counting of estimates.

3rd Step: Excavation.
Next, is the height of the project. Use any immovable permanent structure of the house
as the reference point. Put the stakes at intervals along the outline of the project.  Use
the 2x4 by running the board from the abutting structure to a stake. Check the board is
at its level, do markings at the stake for that point, and then the next based on the
determined slope. To indicate the desired finished height across the site’s length, use
strings tied to the stakes.

Before making an excavation, lay the correct amount of bedding sand, aggregate stone
base, and pavers. Excavate by below the desired surface height allowing for the base
and sand layers. Properly estimate your calculation in determining the depth as to the
thickness of the base, sand and paver layers. Next is to prepare the surface for the
aggregate base by compacting the soil with a plate compactor. Make sure to remove
standing water, rocks or other protrusions against bumps or depressions.

4th Step: Laying the base.
It is advisable to use crushed rock to the base, it is the most often used material for
base layering. Ordinarily, 4 inches of the base is enough.  Next, using a mechanical
plate compactor compacts the base on a 3-inch layer. Let the compactor do in a
circular motion at least twice all over the area.

5th Step: Restraining
To hold intact the concrete pavers and the base, edge restraints are used. Without it,
the pavers will move and the base can erode. Usually, restraints are made of steel,
aluminum, precast concrete or plastic. Use 12-inch spikes to make sure the plastic
or metal edge restraints would not move.

6th Step: Putting the sand.
Sand is used for the final layering. It is advisable to use coarse sand, the one used to
make concrete and avoid using stone dust or limestone screenings.

7th Step: Pavers placement.
Placing the pavers is the simplest part of this project. Use the height string as a guide
for pavers with patterns. The pavers should be tightly fit near each other in a correct
laying pattern. Use masonry saw or mechanical splitters to cut the edges of pavers,
if necessary. Completely lay all the whole layers in place before placing the cut
pavers. And tighten the pavers in place against the bedding sand by using a plate
compactor. Lastly, sweep the same coarse sand used for bedding the pavers in
between the joints, and compact the surface area again with sand until all joints are
full.

Congratulations on a job well done, and now you can enjoy your new paver project
with success.

commercial applications. Here is the reason why aluminum canopy is preferable
for commercial properties.

  • Aluminum canopies are sturdy. Despite being lightweight and easy on your
building structure these canopies can withstand all sorts of weather conditions

  • Aluminum is less prone to rusting. Any other canopy made from different
materials other than aluminum would require a fresh coat of paint every two
or three years. An aluminum canopy looks great because it’s resistant to
    wear and tear

  • Aluminum canopies are designed in an innovative and stylish manner. So
they also improve the aesthetic appeal of your commercial space.

  • Aluminum canopy does not rust. We typically see finished aluminum canopies
last six or seven years without showing obvious signs of wear and tear.

  • Even though aluminum canopies are composed of durable structural
members, they are light enough that most canopy systems can be installed
without heavy equipment. Our technicians at Fabri Tech typically need
nothing more than the building materials and ladders to install your aluminum
    canopy.

  • Businesses with storefront displays can reap many rewards from installing
an aluminum canopy. Sun can heat stores with large windows, and sunlight
can cause furniture and artwork to fade. Installing an aluminum canopy can
keep the interior of your store cool, decreasing cooling costs for your
business. Restaurants, bars, and cafes can benefit from shade structures as
well. An aluminum canopy can create a welcoming, cool, and sheltered outdoor
dining area that increases a business’s usable space while attracting
